Olsen Power Plant

Steuart Investment Company is a joint venture partner in the construction and management of the Olsen Power Plant hydroelectric dam.  Constructed in 1988, this 5 megawatt power facility provides low-cost electricity to Northern California (serviced by PG&E) and is managed by Synergics, Inc. of Annapolis, Maryland.

The hydropower plant is located 3 miles north of Whitmore, California on Old Cow Creek — one of five principal tributaries, flowing southwesterly, within the 275,000 acre Cow Creek Watershed in Shasta County on the eastern side of the Sacramento River.
